Powers Music School offers Suzuki Instruction in guitar, piano, viola, and violin for ages 4 ½ and above. The Suzuki method is a successful combination of individual and group instruction pioneered by the famed Japanese teacher, Shinichi Suzuki. Often called the "mother-tongue" method, students learn by listening, daily repetition, and parental guidance and encouragement.
Critical to a student's success in the Suzuki program are:
1. Parent participation at the student's lesson.
2. Review of Suzuki music CD/tapes at home.
3. Parental involvement in student's practice.
4. Attendance at group workshops.
