Singing for Kids

As with any language, exposure at a young age to appropriately gauged musical expression will attune your child's ear, body, and mind to a lifetime of music making. Don't wait. Your child's musical education starts now. Certified Dalcroze instructors who are highly experienced in teaching young children teach all early children classes.

Ages 5 1/2 - 7 years

Duration: 16 weeks
Instructor: Yasuko Ishibashi

Children will learn to work in an ensemble through this hands-on introduction to group singing and music in movement. Students will learn musical concepts through simple gestures and movements. Through weekly practice students gain singing skills. Music used will be from standard children's repertoire, folk songs, and familiar traditional songs. Students will perform at the end of each semester in the School's recital program.
