Jazz and Blues Group Piano Classes

Ages 7 - 10

Duration: 16 weeks

The 12 bar blues form is the foundation of many rock, pop and jazz tunes. In this class students learn to play chords, melody, boogie-woogie and walking bass, and to improvise with a blues scale. Swing and Latin style tunes are also taught. Classes include ensemble and solo playing, counting and playing rhythm patterns, singing, playing by ear and sight-reading.
