Saturday Morning Music School

Haley Leach is a violinist and teacher, originally from Topeka, Kansas. She studied at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, with Dr. Scott Conklin, graduating in 2013 with degrees in violin performance and German. While at the University of Iowa, Haley also studied chamber music with the former violist of the Maia Quartet, Elizabeth Oakes, and spent three years as a violinist in the Athena Quartet. With the Athena Quartet, Haley participated in masterclasses with a wide variety of teachers and mentors, including the Jupiter Quartet, the JACK Quartet, and the American Quartet. Haley graduated in 2016 with a Masters of Music from the Boston Conservatory in Boston, Massachusetts, where she studied with Sharan Leventhal. She has previously attended the Wintergreen Summer Music Academy, Promisek Bach Workshop, and the Fresno Summer Orchestra Academy. Haley plays regularly with various theater companies, playing both youth and adult productions, and appears with the Cape Ann Symphony.

Having studied the Suzuki Method with renowned pedagogue Alice Joy Lewis, Haley completed teacher training through Suzuki Book 1 under the tutelage of Nancy Lokken in the summer of 2014. Currently, Haley teaches mostly in Needham, Massachusetts, and is an after-school violin and viola instructor with the Medfield Public Schools in Medfield, Massachusetts. In addition to teaching viola at Saturday Morning Music School, Haley is also conducting the Medfield High School Chamber Ensemble this year.
