Teaching Philosophy: To develop each student to their fullest potential in a challenging, yet friendly and nurturing environment, and to help create a life-long enjoyment and appreciation of music and music-making.
Teaching Experience: Powers Music School faculty member for 37 years. Other teaching experience includes: private studio in NYC, Flute Center of Boston, The Music School of Providence and Brown University. Besides teaching at Powers, maintains a private studio in Providence, RI.
Performance Experience: Freelancing in Detroit and NYC area, chamber and orchestral music under such conductors as Sixten Ehrling and Andre Previn. Freelanced as a studio musician in NYC area and southeastern New England. Presently active as chamber musician in southeastern New England; member of Henschel Ensemble and flute/harp duo.
