Student Recitals
Powers Music School believes that providing students with performance opportunities is a critical part of their education. Because students' needs vary, Powers provides diverse performance opportunities. Student recitals are a time to share accomplishments with friends and family.
Students requiring accompaniment will receive a short rehearsal prior to the performance. Accompaniment time is free and ranges from 10 to 30 minutes depending on the level of the musical piece the student is performing. Students requiring an accompanist must sign up for a rehearsal time. Recital sign-up sheets are posted on the bulletin board of the 380 Concord Avenue campus building. Students or parents of students must sign-up for an accompaniment rehearsal in person. No telephone reservations will be accepted. Should you need additional help, please contact the student's teacher. If additional accompaniment time is needed, it may be arranged with the School at a rate of $25 per half hour.
Recitals are approximately 1 hour in length and students are required to remain seated with their peers for the entire recital.
