Helping students and the community reach their goals

Powers is not just a tuition-based school - we need your help to inspire, teach, and provide opportunities to more people in your community.

With your help in 2018-2019, we have...

  • sparked creativity for 800+ participants in Workshop Weeks
  • gave 20 students the chance to excel through $27,000 in private lesson financial aid and the Music Box Endowed Scholarship Fund (a $100,000 anonymous gift)
  • inspired 150+ Belmont Public School students through the Saturday Morning Music School program
  • created initial plans to help older adults find and strengthen their voices with a new Watch City Singers ensemble in Waltham (supported in part by a 2019 Catalyzing Creative Aging seed grant from the National Guild for Community Arts Education)
  • taught music and literacy to young children through Musical Storytelling Program performances in 6 different towns, including a special performance at the Loring Elementary School in Sudbury
  • began conversations for supporting students with social and learning disabilities through an expanded music therapy department and sensory-senstitive events

Will you help us continue changing lives in 2019-2020 with an Annual Fund gift today?
