CIT Programs (Counselor in Training)

Music on the Hill (MOTH) CIT Program 2012

Ages 16-19

  • MOTH runs weekdays from 8:45 am - 4:30 pm, from June 25 - July 20 (no class July 4).
  • Students play and perform in two chamber ensembles, in addition to the MOTH orchestra.
  • Students have the opportunity to perform in weekly solo recitals.
  • Students assist faculty and staff in rehearsals and other activities during the day.
  • Students have access to private lessons in their instrument or composition taught by excellent faculty.
  • Students must be entering their high school junior year or higher in fall 2012.
  • Enrollment is limited to a maximum of 12 students.

TUITION

  • MOTH CIT tuition for 4 weeks: $1,275
  • Application fee: $30 (no fee for current Powers students)
  • Materials fee: $15
  • Private lessons OPTIONAL (Four, 45-minute lessons): $260

Pow-Wow CIT Program 2012

Ages 13-15

  • Students will assist faculty at instrumental lessons and art lessons, and will perform in the Pow-Wow operetta.
  • Students will help faculty and staff in rehearsals and other activities during the day.
  • Students should have three or more years experience playing an instrument.
  • Enrollment is limited to a maximum of two students per session.
  • Upon notification of acceptance as a CIT student, full tuition must be received within one week. No refunds will be given.
  • We offer three Pow-Wow sessions:

Session 1: July 2 - 13  Session 1 CIT program is sold out!
Session 2: July 16 - 27 
Session 1: July 30 - August 10  Session 2 CIT program is sold out!

TUITION

  • Pow-Wow CIT tuition: $450
  • Application fee: $15 (no fee for current Powers students)
  • Materials fee: $10 per session
