About Belmont Open Sings
Come participate in performances of the great masterworks for chorus and orchestra. Experience the thrill of singing your favorite works accompanied by a professional-level orchestra, and revel in arias sung by some of Boston's finest soloists, led by Mary Beekman. First timers are welcome. Vocal scores and a choral warm-up are provided.
Belmont Open Sings is supported in part by a grant from the Belmont Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
Thank you to all who came to "Carmina Burana" and "Messiah" last year!
Check out this clip from our performance of Carmina Burana "O Fortuna" on October 19, 2014. The event was part of Powers Music School's 50th Anniversary and was supported in part by Douglas Okun & Associates, Seasonings Chorale, and Allston Piano Moving Company. We also presented Handel's "Messiah" on December 21, 2014.
