Thank you to everyone who participated in our 2013-2014 series! With Mary Beekman's help, we performed Requiem (M. Duruflé), Messiah (G.F. Handel), and Requiem (Brahms). We hope you will join us for our special 2014 performances in honor of Powers Music School's 50th anniversary year!

Belmont Open Sings 2014

  • October 19 - "Carmina Burana" Carl Orff
    Chorus accompanied by two pianos and percussion. Featuring singers from Musica Sacra and area choirs!
  • December 21 - "Messiah"  G.F. Handel
    A holiday favorite to enjoy year after year!

When: Sundays at 7:30 pm
Location: First Church in Belmont, Unitarian Universalist, 404 Concord Avenue
Tickets: $10 per person; No reservations needed.

 

"Carmina Burana" Rehearsals

We will be holding two rehearsals for our "Carmina Burana" event: Sunday, October 5, and Sunday, October 12, both at 7:00-9:00 pm, 380 Concord Avenue, Belmont. Admission for the rehearsals is free, but reservations are required. Reserve your spot here!

 

About Belmont Open Sings

Come participate in performances of the great masterworks for chorus and orchestra. Experience the thrill of singing your favorite works accompanied by a professional-level orchestra, and revel in arias sung by some of Boston's finest soloists, led by Mary Beekman. First timers are welcome. Vocal scores and a choral warm-up are provided.
