Yas Ishibashi teaches piano and Dalcroze Eurhythmics at Powers Music School. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Kunitachi Music College, and received a Dalcroze Eurhythmics Certificate from Longy School of Music under the direction of Lisa Parker. In addition, she holds a Kodaly Certificate from Kodaly Center of America, and completed professional studies in Jazz arranging and composition from Berklee College of Music, and piano pedagogy studies with Jean Stackhouse at New England Conservatory. Yas is a freelance pianist and vocalist and performs throughout the greater Boston area. She has recorded on Sayaka Records as heard on WGBH radio. Her CD recordings for children and family include Circle of Songs, a collection of seasonal and fun -to-sing songs from various cultures, and Good Morning Montessori, a collection of songs about peace, love, and friendship.
