Roger Hecht

Trombone

Roger Hecht teaches trombone at Powers Music School. He received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Syracuse University. He completed trombone studies with Emory Remington, Edward Kleinhammer, Byron McCulloh, and Douglas Yeo. Roger has performed with Syracuse Symphony, Lake George Opera, New Bedford Symphony, Cape Ann Symphony, Boston Philharmonic, and Bay Colony Brass (where he has also served as Personell Manager). He is a critic of classical CDs for American Record Guide and has published in Classical Music: Listener's Companion (a comprehensive collection of classical CD capsule reviews) and articles on music for the Elgar Society Journal and Positive Feedback Magazine.
