Peter Kenagy

Trumpet

Peter Kenagy teachers trumpet at Powers Music School. He received his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees from New England Conservatory, and his Doctoral of Musical Arts degree from University of Illinois (dissertation on George Russell's album The Jazz Workshop). He has studied with Danilo Perez, Bob Brookmeyer, Charles Schlueter, George Garzone, Jerry Bergonzi, George Russell, Alan Fletcher, Ran Blake, Tito Carrillo, Michael Ewald, and Ronald Romm. In addition to Powers, Peter has taught at New England Conservatory's Preparatory School, Milton Academy, and Camp Encore-Coda. He has recorded on Fresh Sound New Talent and Fractamodi.
