Ages 9-19 years

Duration: 4 weeks

MUSIC ON THE HILL (MOTH) is a four-week summer day program emphasizing chamber, jazz, and orchestral performance with art/theatre worshops and recreation for students ages 9 - 14, and a couselor in training program for students ages 16 - 19. MOTH faculty members are well-known for their experience and success with young people at this formative and decisive stage of musical development.

Participants come away with a heightened musical awareness, new friendships, and an enthusiastic interest in being part of future jazz and chamber music ensembles. The program is designed for intermediate to advanced instrumentalists.

June 25 - July 20, 2012
Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm

Student evening performances at 6:30 pm on July 11, 12, 19 and 20, 2012.

TUITION

  • Application fee: $30 (no fee for current Powers students)
  • Materials fee: $15
  • MOTH 4-week student tuition: $2,300
  • MOTH 2-week student tuition: $1,200
  • Private lessons OPTIONAL (Four 45-minute lessons): $260
