Basson, Clarinet

Judy Bedford teaches bassoon, clarinet, and chamber ensembles at Powers Music School, and also serves as chair of the school's Woodwind Department. She received Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees, as well as an Artist Diploma, from New England Conservatory. Judy has performed with Handel and Haydn Society, Boston Baroque, Pro Arte Orchestra, New England Composers' Orchestra, Boston Pops, and Esplanade Pops. She is the Principal Bassoonist of Kammerwerke Chamber Orchestra. In addition to Powers, she has taught at University of Massachusetts-Lowell and All Newton Music School (conductor of the New Winds Octet). Judy has also been an adjudicator for District auditions and All-State auditions.
